About Me

I started Purple Driver Training in March 2009. Before becoming a DSA approved driving instructor in 2005, I worked as a veterinary
nurse for 5yrs with Downland Veterinary Group. I then qualified as an RGN, and have also worked for two and a half years as  a
        nanny in America.

I qualified as a driving instructor in January 2005. I worked for just over two years with Frisbys before going solo. WhiIst at Frisbys
I also passed my motorcycle test with training from Boots, who is, in my opinion one of the best motorcycle trainers in West Sussex.

Some people think that when they have passed their driving test they havefinished  learning how to drive. However,as a professional
driving instructor,I believe it is important to continually update my skills so that I can offer you, the customer, the best possible quality
        driver training.

IAM, DIA and RoSPA all offer Advanced Driving Tests. They are designed to improve your ability to keep control of your vehicle, spot
hazards on the road, negotiate troublesome roads and junctions, drive safely in adverse weather conditions, and much more...

I gained RoSPA SILVER in October 2009 and passed the DIAmond Special test on April 1st 2010. See certificates below.

For me, being a driving instructor is the best job of all, it certainly gives me fantastic job satisfaction!

One of my aims is to get you to pass your driving test first time. In order for you to achieve this you will have to be
prepared to work hard and take responsibility for your own actions. I will do all I can to help you
become a safe,
        courteous, assertive driver.

Always ask to see your instructor's license to  ensure it is still valid and in date. Qualified instructors have green licenses; trainee
             instructors have pink licenses.

Every four years we have to renew our licenses. We are monitored at regular intervals (known as a check test) to ensure we are
fit to continue training people to drive. I was tested on May 5th 2010 and graded 4.

I would like to confirm that I have successfully passed the governments requirement for driving instructors to have a C.R.B
             check
(Criminal Records Bureau).
